How shall I prepare for paper 1 in the UGC NET examination?

These are some general points that I mention when I write these kinds of preparation questions. I hope will be helpful.

• Make a rough plan to cover up all the chapter (All the chapters should be covered)
• Must do all previous 10-15 years question paper completely. This will help you the most. It will give you a flavor of the questions that are asked typically.
• Have the confidence you can crack it and start studying. Confidence is as essential as studying.
• Keep your fundamentals always clear. It matters a lot and you will definitely realize it as you prepare for it more.
• Do not waste much time on other things such as things out of the syllabus.
• Practice as much as you can. The more you get a clear picture of the concepts involved.
• Discuss it with friends. It helps a lot. You will learn new things that you do not know and by telling them what you know will make your concepts a bit more clear and it will make you feel confident about your knowledge.
• Remember if your input of study is 4 hours output must be 4 hours
• Never ever lose hope or lose consistency in preparation. As consistency is the key to success and hope will guide you in the darkest moments of your preparation.
• Apart from this in any exam you give follow these steps.
• Give the exam in a calm and cool mood. Why so serious. You have studied hard for it. Questions are also not going to be so difficult. Be decisive and apply common sense. Do the thing which is actually required to be done. In the exam make sure you attempt questions in the proper manner. Make a down to top approach. Find out the easiest of them. It is not necessarily that it should be from your favorite chapter. Do the problems according to the level of ease. Attempt those about which you are sure. Because these are the rays of hope that will never fail you. Never ever stuck on a single problem. Be clear about the thing which is asked in the question. Sometimes it so happens that we answer something else while the question is demanding something else. Do not discuss much before the exam. Why do you need to even? Do not have confidence in your preparation. Stay focused. Because These are the hours for which you have prepared a lot. Last but not the least, make it a habit.
